You already did half of your homework by visiting Indigo Doors website. The next steps will be:

• ask yourself how much time you have to finish your project. If it is more than 2.5-3 months – then you can choose any door from our website. If you have less time – please look through our stock items https://indigodoors.com/hot-deals/
• decide on the height of the needed doors – 80”, 84” or 96” and again check if the needed height is in stock, if you are limited with the time
• choose the door model that you like, remember the name and give us a call at 305-602-5550 or send your inquiry to info@indigodoors.com

We’ll help you with deciding whether you need a swing door, pocket door, bypass door, bi-fold door, barn door, magic door, rotary door. You will have a choice of hinges as well as passage, privacy or keyed locks.

After all specifications are confirmed and the total order is signed, and payment is received we are ready to start working on your doors.

There are two ways of figuring out which door size you have by measuring rough opening size or door slab size (which might not give accurate sizing)

1. If you have existing doors installed – measure the width and height of the doors. If there’s a chance of taking off one of the casings to measure the thickness of the jamb that you have to see if there’s space inside, please do that as well. Most likely your new door will have to be the same size as your existing door, but sometimes you have surprises when you remove the trim and see about 2” of extra space with shims, which could be used for a wider door.
2. If you don’t have any doors installed and have just wooden framing in the rough opening – please measure the width and the height of the rough opening. If the floor is installed, measure to the floor. If the floor is not installed yet, please provide us with the thickness of the floor to be installed in order to calculate the needed height of the door for you.

Please take measurements of the width of the door in three positions – top, middle and bottom. Write down the smallest number. Measure the height from both left and right side.

If you have a level, it would be very helpful to see if the rough opening is straight.
